There are a variety of working conditions and hours of construction assistants. In some cases, jobs are full. However, other positions will be part-time and part-time. Work is physically difficult. You will need to lift heavy objects and tools. Your company may provide you with a set of tools that you will be responsible for keeping in good working order and returning them when the work is finished. Expect to work outside in all types of weather. You may have to work nights or weekends depending on the job. For example, if you are working on renovating an open business during the day, you may need to work at night to complete the job. Also, this job is not for anyone who is afraid of heights or closed areas as you will find yourself working in both places from time to time. There are more injuries reported, some more fatal, in this work than in any other activity.
